SEEMINGLY POLAR OPPOSITES IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL SENSE, YET INTRINSICALLY LINKED BY NOT ONLY OCEANS... Nature and a strong sense of culture in both the Northen and Southern Hemisphere. Both environments famed for their natural beauty, impressive scenery and unspoilt wonders. Scandinavians have always felt a strong pull towards the Pacifics with fairy tales from their youth about "The People from Söderhavet ". Sharing a long history of sea faring and intrepid exploration, culture and nature, Söderhavet is the unison of Scandinavian design with South Pacific traditions.	02.PROD. OUR FIRST COLLECTION IS THE “VAKA MOANA” RANGE, CONSISTING OF 100% CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON, HANDPRINTED TSHIRTS AND BAGS. "Vaka Moana" is the traditional Pacific ocean voyager that lead to the discovery and settlement of the Pacific Islands. This was the last and greatest story of human migration, venturing across unknown seas to settle far flung islands we know today as the Pacific. Due to this very specific meaning, it represents our starting point with Soderhavet as a label.	03.ETH. SUSTAINABILITY AND HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS ARE AT THE VERY CORE OF SÖDERHAVET. THIS IS REFLECTED IN OUR RANGE, USING COMMON SENSE MEASURES TO ASSURE WE CAUSE NO HARM. One of these is to use organic and ethically sourced materials. Non-organic products are unfortunately riddled with ever-increasing overuse of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and growth hormones; causing major human and ecological damage. We only use organic and fairtrade cotton. Organic cotton will cause zero irritation as well as being extremely soft, comfortable and strong. Farmers using biologically based growing systems raise healthier cotton, benefiting their communities and the wider environment.
